DLR Press ReleaseThe additional carriages have contributed to the increasing service reliability on the DLR network with most recent figures achieving an impressive 98 per cent.

Jonathon Fox, DLR Director, said "This is an exciting time for DLR, with passenger numbers up by 5.1 per cent from last year and service reliability continuing to climb - our recent successes are showing that we are on track to providing high quality services during the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games."

Forty-nine of the fifty-five new 3-car vehicles are now in service on the network with the last expected to be in operation by July.

Last week London Marathon runners also reaped the benefits of the additional carriages with DLR successfully carrying 278,000 passengers during efficient and on-time services.
